Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a background in Trading or Financial
Exchange Systems (big plus!) with a strong OO analysis/design/
development background in Oracle/Java. Please note that surveillance
systems are usually configured with Oracle SQL batch process along
with a Java based GUI to display and update surveillance exceptions.
Required Skills:
• Minimum Five (5) years experience in Oracle/Java application
development through the entire SDLC
• Strong experience with Oracle databases especially in the areas of
PL/SQL, functions, procedures and packages.
• Must have experience with multi table joins, subqueries, in-line
views, cursors, aggregate and analytic functions, merge, user defined
data types, and collection types and an ability, collection types and
an understanding of how efficient queries.
• Experience in Java and J2EE development using Struts with JSPs,
HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and JDBC
• Experience with testing using JUnit, Mockito, ANT
• Strong analytical and design capabilities (OO Analysis/Design) with
good relational database design skills
• Experience developing applications in a Linux/UNIX operating
environment, experience in UNIX scripting,
• Self-motivated, can effectively manage tasks from start to finish,
adapts to changing business needs,
• Very good inter-personal skills along with previous experience
interacting with end-users and various Systems groups.
• Good communication and writing skills
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Rational ClearCase
• Experience with Agile development
• Familiar with CORBA
• Knowledge of trading or financial exchanges systems
• Knowledge of regulatory surveillance applications
• Previously mentored or trained developers
