*Description*
A Siemens PLM Consultant is needed to conduct engineering process analyses
and needs assessments to align PLM information technology solutions with
engineering initiatives. Technical expert on a team implementing Siemens PLM
solutions and providing both functional and technical expertise in
identifying, evaluating, and developing basic systems by gathering
engineering specifications and implementing appropriate technical solutions.
The consultant will provide knowledge of workflow design, change management,
customization and configuration. Demonstrate confidence and an extensive
knowledge of emerging PLM and CAD/CAM technologies and industry trends and
best practices. Work as part of a team to address engineering needs and
systems issues.
Responsibilities:
- Work with engineering and manufacturing groups to gather technical
requirements, track milestones, and manage technical issues and risks
- Work as a member of Engineering IT team with focus on configuration,
performance tuning, user access, integration to CAD, and data conversion
- Act as a technical expert for the Siemens PLM product suite, analyzing
and evaluating engineering requirements and developing and implementing
systems recommendations to meet the requirements
- Install and administer Siemens PLM software, participate in creating
standards, policies, procedures and roadmaps
- Estimate time frames, quality, and quantity of resources required to
successfully implement project initiatives.
- Perform model design and development for benchmarking and capacity
planning
- Implement efficient workflow processes for engineering systems
solutions
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems within the
Siemens PLM service.
- Install, implement and integrate BMIDE configuration management
solutions for the Siemens PLM product suite and associated products
(TcU,TcC, NX CAD/CAM, AutoCAD)
- Perform Change Management in accordance with ITIL standards and
procedures
- Implement user access management and security controls
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Siemens PLM product suite or similar
- Project management skills
- Advanced knowledge of process modeling techniques and tools, and
business process re-engineering
- Proficient with configuration control and software installation
practices
- Previous experience of software testing
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following programming
languages: Java, ITK, PLM, XML, XSTL, C, C++.
- Advanced knowledge and previous experience of databases and CAD/CAM
systems
- Advanced knowledge of IT hardware and operating systems
- Proficient experience of working with products in a UNIX and/or Windows
environment Minimum 5 years previous experience in an engineering design
environment
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in Teamcenter Unified, Teamcenter
Engineering and NX CAD/CAM
- Awareness of ITIL processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Bachelors: computer science or engineering or equivalent work
experience
- Complex analytical problem solving capability, with systems
administration skills and the ability to quickly learn new applications are
primary qualifications
