Job Description: -
Mandatory Requirement:
• Experience in the programming of application systems
• Strong knowledge of structured programming techniques,
system development methodologies and various software to include
minimum 3-5 years of full life-cycle development experience using VA
GEN, DB2, TSO/ISPF, JCL, COBOL, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with data transfer and interface methodologies
between mainframes and mainframe to servers and distributed server
environments in a statewide environment
• Ability to produce technical procedures and documentation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the
ability to translate and communicate highly technical concepts to both
technical personnel and non-IT business users
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or
detailed technical procedures
• Ability to work independently and perform job with minimal
supervision
Desirable/Preferred Requirement
• Experience with IBM Websphere, IBM Rational Developer for
System z, CA utility tools, CICS, VSAM, Zeke, XPTR
• Knowledge and experience with State Government systems
