Hi, We are currently supporting a large health care insurance company with some of their key hiring needs and are looking for Senior Java Developers with skills in a multi-tier environment along with skills in Crystal/Jasper reporting tools. This is a 6+ months, probable extension - Washington, DC, rate is DOE. *Background:* This is to support significant enhancements to an insurance enrollment application. This project requires broad range of technical skills including Crystal/Jasper reports and end to end Java/J2EE technologies. *Tasks:* Perform full life-cycle activities in support of this project which will include, but not limited to: 1. Work with the architect and technical leader on design and development. 2. Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the projects. 3. Perform code review, unit, integration and performance testing. 4. Document System design, write code and mentor other resources. *Skills – Java/J2EE developer:* These positions require a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 8 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 6 years experience with Java and J2EE. Strong experience with Crystal/Jasper reports is essential for this position. Specific requirements include, but not limited to: - Strong hands on experience with Crystal/Jasper reports. - Strong experience with RDBMS (DB2). - Strong experience in writing and tuning SQL’s. - Strong hands on experience with latest Java/J2EE web technologies, - Extensive hands on experience with web applications using Java, J2EE, EJB, Hibernate, JSP, JDBC, JMX, JMS, Log4J, Web Services and MQ - Wide breadth of knowledge across many Java Open-Source technologies including AJAX, Spring Framework, Ant, Struts 2, DOJO, XML parser technology and Junit - Experience with software development methodologies (RUP, XP, Agile) - Strong hands on experience with UML - Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology - Proven hands experience with DAO and Data Services. - Background with Rules Engines is a big plus - Excellent application performance tuning skills Software: 1.
