*General Summary*
- Under limited supervision, performs one or more of the following
activities:
- Configuration management, system & security administration
- Windows XP and/or *Windows 7 Imaging experience (32 or 64 bit).*
- Applications Packaging (MSI, MST, MSP)
- Application and OS Virtualization using Microsoft and VMware
products
- Responds to issues related to:
- environment
- hardware
- system
- and / or software
- implements resolution across technology areas
- Supports multiple systems simultaneously
- Provides leadership for large project efforts
- Provides support or lead activities related to change management,
outage management and/or project management
*Preferred Skills/Knowledge*
- Easily communicate with clients, technical engineers, software
developers, executives and other stakeholders. Supervise, coach, and develop
technical staff.
- Provide leadership to develop creative innovative and technical
solutions to increase efficiency leading to improved productivity and
performance.
· Experience in software packaging for Marimba software distribution
environment including silent and automated, deployment and maintenance of
new hardware drivers and software updates.
- Experience in software package testing including deployment,
functionality and compliance to strict packaging standards using tools such
as In-control.
- Experience in technical project documentation which include functional
requirements, technical design and technical development.
· Work collaboratively with multiple groups to develop, deploy,
manage and maintain various platforms.
- Programming Languages (*VB 6*, Visual C, *C#,* C++, WinBatch).
- Scripting (VB Script, Power Shell, Batch Files).
- Technical writing skills preferred.
- Project Management concepts.
*Qualifications*:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, preferably in Computer
Science, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
- Typically has more than 7 years work experience in Engineering and/or
Information Technology environment.
- Advanced certifications in areas of expertise (i.e. Security,
Configuration Management, Systems Administration) preferred.
- Masters degree preferred.
