Main responsibilities include hands-on design, development and performance tuning for the PCDW, a large scale, global data warehouse that consists of an Oracle 11g RAC implementation, Unix-based batch and intraday job streams that source data from various systems, a custom .NET C# & C++ middleware that enables ad hoc user queries, and several Excel-based and web-based front-end applications including Oracle Business Intelligence. *KEY DUTIES:* -Physical Database Objects -PLSQL based ETL Programs -Control-M Jobs -Feed analysis * Interact with business analysts and source system IT teams to define, agree, and document incoming data feed specifications. -Database design * Interact with data modelers and middleware team to design physical facts and dimensions of the star-schema data model for high performance. Conduct peer design reviews. -ETL design * Design processes that transform and load data sources into fact and dimension tables according to best practices. Conduct peer design reviews. -Development * Implement database objects and ETL programs according to design and coding standards. Conduct peer code reviews. -Testing * Plan, execute, and document testing of database objects and ETL programs. -User Support * Interact with end users in a support role to fulfill requests or resolve issues. -Production Support * Provide off-hour and weekend support of application batch processes on a rotational, on-call basis. * * *REQUIRED:* -Oracle 11g PL/SQL programming -Unix shell programming -Informatica development -Database indexing and partitioning best practices -Multi-terabyte data warehousing 1. SME for application data flows across all PCDW application tiers 5. SME for Net Asset Value and Daily PnL/Balance Sheet application framework 6. SME for PCDW overnight and Intra Day processing 7.
