Location: Woodland Hills, CA or Richmond, VA – phone screen only Through 2012-03-16 Skills: *The location can be either Woodland Hills, CA or Richmond, VA.* *Job Description:* We are looking for a database developer who has strong database development experience to support our technology team in the rapid development of highly scalable and robust web applications, data warehouses and ETL processes. · Responsible for developing detailed logical data designs and metadata content. · Works on more complex database design, development and support activities. · Creates and populates metadata and plans and participates in unit testing for data validation. · Evaluates test results for fulfillment of all data requirements. · Develop conceptual or general designs, including logical design of databases, access methods, metadata presentation, etc. · Details all aspects of functional designs, including record layouts, pseudo-code, detailed data mapping, etc. · Productionalizes data-related project components and institute all required changes. · Provides ongoing support of business, including ongoing data analysis, data quality testing, enhancement of metadata, etc. *As a member of the technology team: * · You will adhere to established standards to create database schemas, stored procedures and TSQL scripts that are easy to maintain and extend over time. · Troubleshoot and resolve database issues that arise during development and implementation. · Develop and document application databases that support current development projects. · Develop an enterprise scalable data warehouse to support robust data marts to support enterprise scalable reporting solutions. · Responsible to support our data analysts and report developers by designing and developing robust reporting tables and views. · Support server migrations. *Technical Competencies: * · 2+ years experience in SQL Server 2008 and TSQL database design and development. · 8+ years experience in SQL Server design and development. · 3+ years experience in coding Triggers , Stored Procedures and Functions to handle complex business logic. · 1+ Experienced with data warehouse design and development for optimal report performance. · Knowledgeable in database design concepts and methods. · Strong Analytical skills. · Great communication skills to effectively work in a virtual team environment. *Behavioral Competencies: * · Dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. · Capable of managing time to meet goals. · Adaptability and Open to Change. · Take responsibility for quality and completeness of their work. *Project Focus and Responsibilities: * · Support existing database developers in the continued development of a content management system. · Continued development of data warehouse to expand reporting capabilities. · Develop ETL processes to support data integration from legacy systems and external vendors. · Development of new databases. · Collaborate in architecting new solutions to meet changing businesses needs. · Troubleshoot and optimize existing databases both application and reporting databases. *Required Skills:* · Requires general business knowledge, general technical knowledge and knowledge of database administration techniques. · Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. *Educational Qualifications/Experience:* · Requires BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems. · 2 or more years of information systems experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. *Skills Set:* *General Business Skills.* -- Regards, Shankar 248-522-6879 Technology consultanst inc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
