*SUMMARY *
The Developer works within a team to: create web-centric solutions,
participate in the merge, build & deployment cycle and contribute in all
phases of development projects while providing support to existing clients.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *
- Create Web-Centric Solutions - Develop objects, frameworks, and common
code bases to support web-based, mission-critical, high-volume transaction
applications
- Participate in the design, implementation, documentation and
maintenance of development, test and production .NET environments
- Work collaboratively with the DBAs to create stored procedures
- Participate in the identification, project planning, analysis,
design, development and implementation of assigned project(s)
- Utilizing past experiences and proven methodologies in hands-on
development
- Participate in the Merge, Build & Deployment Cycle – Works with the
internal toolset to promote changes to the next environment
- Merge branches of code
- Complete code reviews
- Communicate changes to appropriate parties such as QA and management
- Work within the team framework, utilizing tools like Team
Foundation Server (TFS)
- Build and Deploy code
- Contribute in all phases of development projects
- Provide both written and oral communication on task progress,
issues, and risks
- Assist in developing test plans and work with QA to complete test
findings and perform component and integration testing
- Document technical aspects of project
- Refines business requirements
- Provides written design documents and test plans
- Provide support to existing clients
- Respond to troubleshooting requests by utilizing knowledge of the
systems and previous development experience
- Evaluate and monitor databases and stored procedures together with
DBAs to identify and resolve performance issues;
- Works in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and reporting
to management

*ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES*
- Must have solid experience in Visual Basic.NET (3.5)
- Must have solid experience using JavaScript
- Previous experience working with SQL-Server 2005 or later and complex
stored procedures;
- Must demonstrate proficiency in concepts and technologies like
event-driven programming, object-oriented methodology, XML based Web
Services, HTTP Communications and ASP.NET;
- Demonstrates architecture/object-oriented design and development
experience in a .NET framework;
- Understands role of web servers and related software as they pertain
to limitations placed on development and implementation of applications;
- Familiar with physical-layer hardware interfaces, higher-level OS
architecture, communications technology, embedded applications, and
enterprise management;
- Strong unit testing and integration testing experience; system testing
skills a plus;
- Ability to move easily between multiple projects at any given time;
- Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communications.
In addition, working knowledge of the following is desired:
- MVC
- XML, XSLT
- C#
- HTML5
- Macromedia/Flash
- CSS
- jQuery

*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE *
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
discipline with a programming focus;
- 5+ years of proven development experience using .NET Microsoft-based
technologies;
- 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale internet applications;
- 3+ years of experience in development SQL Server.
