The system involves many user interfaces, functionality, and a variety of backend activities. There is a continuing need for new software development including defect repair, system updates and application enhancements. The Programmer will be part of a team of programmers to work on specific deliverables as determined by the business users. This person should be able to understand Java and related technologies. The person will also be involved in developing, producing and updating technical documentation. *MANDATORY EXPERIENCE CANDIDATES NOT MEETING ALL OF THE MANDATORY EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS BELOW WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION* 1.) 4+ years of programming experience. 2.) 2+ web development experience using Java related technologies and web services. 3.) Experience in object oriented programming. 4.) Business analysis and requirements gathering experience. 5.) Experience with database programming techniques. 6.) Experience with XML. 7.) Experience with the Spring and Hibernate frameworks. 8.) Experience with Ant and Maven build / dependency management processes. 9.) Experience with creating technical documents. *ASSOCIATED SKILL SETS * *Candidates MUST also have SEVEN of the preferred skilled sets listed below. Accordingly, candidates not meeting the supporting experiential specifications below will not be considered for the position. * 1.) Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Graduate degree in Computer Science or related program. 2.) Analysis and troubleshooting experience. 3.) Familiar with software development methodologies. 4.) Strong verbal and written communication skills. 5.) Familiar with XSLT. 6.) Experience with implementing and consuming web services in a services-oriented architecture. 7.) Experience with replacing legacy systems using ETL tools. 8.) Familiarity with unit testing techniques. 9.) Experience in Java Server Faces (JSF), JSP 10.) Experience in administering and supporting IBM WebSphere V7 or 8. 11.) Additionally a working knowledge of Apache Tomcat 5.5 or 6. 12.) Experience in application support and troubleshooting.
