Good Morning, One of my premier clients in Columbus, OH, is currently seeking a *Sr. Java Developer/Architect* for a* 6-9 month contract.* The job description is listed below, but the most important qualifications will include *strong JPA and EJB experience*, as well as middle tier web development. This role will work largely independently and is a very senior level role. *Title: *Sr. Java Developer/Architect *Location: *Columbus, OH** *Duration: *6-9 Months *Number of Openings:* 1 Hourly rate : DOE ** Client is currently seeking a Sr. Java Developer/Architect for a contract opportunity in Columbus, Ohio. This position will work on a series of Java EE modernization efforts. The goal of the effort is to move existing J2EE 1.4 applications to Java EE , including moving from Hibernate and entity-based persistence to Java Persistence API (JPA). This role will also participate in all facets of the project including prototype development, performance/load testing, technology evaluation, selection, and documentation. ** *Specific Skill Requirements: * · Strong Java EE development skills, including hands-on experience with EJB 2.1-3.1 · Experience with JPA 2 and Hibernate 3 · Experience working with Oracle and SQL · Experience with Websphere versions 6.1 and 7.0 · Previous experience conducting technology evaluation/selection · Background in technology leadership and architecture · Comfortable working on coding and non-coding (documentation) tasks Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
