*New York, NY* *6+Months* * * * * *Senior Developer* The Senior developer will assist with development tasks related to the EAN project (a data integration project). This project will build a single strategic source for entiry aggregation and navigation. This position reports directly to technology director but will interface extensively with others on the team and the extended team. *Main Responsibilities:* - Design and develop .NET application, web services and windows processes to transform, load, extract and delivery the data using various design patterns - Design and execute business test scenarios for unit testing and communicate with other developers and business analysts of any issues. - Design data models to support business reporting and analysis - Hand-on experience creating complex business reports - Very good understanding of data modeling concepts - Strong programming language skill in .NET, C#, SQL, etc. - Very important to have experience of developing Web Services. - Great technical and problem solving skills - Knowledgeable in various software design patterns and be able to apply appropriate design patterns to solve business/technical problems. Principles of distributed architecture, as well as debugging and testing tools and methodologies - Proficient in SQL Server - .NET 3/.5/4.0 with WCF. - Team player who works well across different streams (Product Management, Developers, QA, Operation Team, etc.) - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Provides design recommendations and options, develops and integrates programs per specifications. - Provides assistance in researching and adopting new and emerging technologies, evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be included in projects. - Leads project planning sessions with clients and Business Analysts to analyze requirements. - Estimates effort required for own work, and checks and agrees other team members' estimates.
