Requesting senior data analyst/architect resource - Development and GTUS Deployment project. The DA team has limited bandwidth due to the various projects which are either in progress or will begin soon. The Grant Thornton DA team needs a Technical resource who has expertise in oversight and planning of data models and database structural design and development. This resource will work closely with DI/BI Manager, the Project Manager, and the GT DA resources in laying out the logical and physical database design and architecture and play a key role in delivering a successful project. *Job Responsibilities* · Serves as the technical resource in the strategic oversight and planning of data models and database structural design and development · Develop an end-to-end vision to translate a logical design into one or many physical databases and flow of data through the successive stages involved. · Plan, design and document logical and physical enterprise relational data model for a complex global application using ERWIN · Facilitate design meetings and review sessions with Application Development, Architecture and Power Users · Assist in implementation of the physical data model on SQL Server 2008 · Work with the business analyst to gather data requirements · Perform data quality analysis and data profiling of data sources · Develop Strategies for data migration, storage, validation, clean-up, archive, recovery, security. · Research and document database capacity and growth planning · Develop processes and queries to ensure quality of data · Analyze various data sources and develop source to target mapping documents including data business transformation rules. *Qualifications* · Extensive knowledge of advanced concepts, practices and procedures used in a database environment · 5+ years of experience using ERWIN modeling tool to build complex data models · 7+ years of experience with complex data modeling including 4+ years of Top-Down modeling methodology · 7+ years of data analysis experience · 3+ years of data profiling experience (Informatica Data Explorer experience preferred) · Ability to communicate strategies around data modeling and architecture to cross functional teams · Ability to understand requirements and create complex relational data models that can support global applications · Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure · Ability to construct complex SQL queries · Excellent business writing and communication skills · Ability to create data flow and process flow diagrams · Proficiency with best practices in data modeling and data analysis *Key Important Factors, Required* · Extensive experience in requirement gathering and creating complex data models using top-down approach in ERWIN · Experience in data profiling and a solid understanding of database architecture · Strong business and *data *analysis skills *Other Important Factors, Nice to Have* · Experience with Informatica Data Explorer · Experience creating a complex data model to support a global application is a definite plus Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
