Job Description
• Need hands on knowledge on installing and configuring applications in
AIX or writing scripts.
• Definitely strong knowledge on AIX concepts – HMC, LPAR, DLPAR, NIM,
Dual VIO, NMON etc
• Excellent knowledge on Scripting (any of the scripting language
including Kron, Perl etc)
• Coordinate with App development team and should be able to deploy
applications
• Good knowledge on Web services, Application Server, database etc –
conceptual knowledge and able to install and configure applications
• High availability, DR concepts etc
• Strong AIX administration
• Provide daily lights on support activities inclusive of on-call
rotation responsibilities, change control representation and incident / problem
management response being pro-active, identifying efficiencies and process
improvements where possible
• Upgrade all AIX 6.1 application supported systems from AIX 5.3 to AIX
6.1. This will allow us to obtain and maintain appropriate support from IBM and
other application vendors.
• Deploy new disk monitoring script to all AIX systems.
