*Job Title : Oracle/PeopleSoft Security Expert Location : Boston, MA Duration : 6 + Months Rate : Market* Job Description: Our Boston Client is seeking a highly experienced Oracle/PeopleSoft security expert for a 3-4 month assignment to review the existing Oracle/PeopleSoft security practices, roles, and permissions for human resources and payroll. This review includes analysis as to whether or not overall application security adheres to all standards and regulations, including the protection of PII data. Following the review and analysis of the existing application security, will provide recommendations, as well as, potentially implement changes based on industry best practices, any agreed upon changes to the existing application security. Develop verification and validation reports for systematic/streamlined security reviews by application owners, department heads, and department security officers on both a quarterly and annual basis. Annual review may require formal signoff, of all active users and their permissions within the application. Develop a formal streamlined process and procedures for users to request security access, and assurance that all appropriate approvals, as well as, an implementation plan to grant access, following the approval process. Assure that upon completion, all aspects of the application security would pass audit requirements, including the delivery of verification and validation reports in a timely, automated, and streamlined, manner when requested/required. Requirements: At least 5-7 years hands on experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft version 8.9+. At least 4 years experience in an analytical security role, defining application security roles and permissions. Experience providing guidance, and working knowledge of industry best practices for securing PII data, and application security best practices in general. Proven successful implementations of application security containing PII data that include Internet Portals. Experience working with application security audits, and auditable best practices. Experience working with business owners in gathering security requirements, and reviewing roles and permissions that meet users needs but adhere to industry best practices. Ability to work independently with minimal direction, as well as, the ability to work collaboratively as a team member. Proven experience in delivering assignments on schedule.
