*Position:** Business Analyst* *Position Location: South Brunswick, NJ * *Duration : 6 Months* *Job Description*: The Business Analyst, under limited direct supervision, is responsible for planning and directing the analysis of complex business functions to be implemented as a new solution. The Business Analyst is instrumental in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and collaborates with: - Business stakeholders to document requirements, use cases, and test plans. - Application developers and system architects for solution design and system integration testing. - Business and technology stakeholders to plan and support the implementation of automated systems. The Business Analyst provides end-to-end analysis support for the project phases in parallel, and may lead cross-functional teams to address business needs with systems and processes that meet requirements. The Business Analyst, as part of a project team, is accountable for project objectives set together by the Project Manager and technology leads, and collaborates with them to ensure successful delivery. *Job Function and Skills required:* *Responsibilities * · Develops subject matter expertise in existing systems in order to provide guidance on available functionality to business users. · Gathers and documents functional requirements and use cases for automation of operational and administrative business processes. · Translates business requirements into system requirements specifications. · Collaborates with Application Development team to deliver adaptive solutions to meet business requirements. · Facilitates resolution of functional points of contention between business users and technology stakeholders. · Studies, analyzes and documents process flows of business activities. · Translates process flows into use cases. · Assists business in producing UAT test cases. · Develops subject matter expertise in business processes in order to modify existing processes or set up new ones. · Produces deliverables in compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. · Provides input on SDLC procedures and document templates for continuous improvement. · Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application- and operational requirements. · Proactively communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs and functional requirements, and deliver the following artifacts as needed: *BRD*, *FRD*,* Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface design*s, *UAT Test Cases.* · Analyze and Identify areas of business process improvement. · Serve as the conduit between the user community and the software development team. *Skills* · Superior verbal and written communications and presentation skills · Strong organization skills; thorough and detail-oriented. · Demonstrated ability to multi-task. · Excellent business writing skills for documenting business requirements, use cases, functional specifications, design specifications and test cases. · Proficient in using common industry methods and tools, such as Business Process Modeling, Use Cases, Activity-Sequence Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Collaboration Diagrams, Class Diagrams. · Proficient in use of computer systems and tools, including Microsoft Office applications such as Project, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. · Project management skills are a plus, but this person will not be managing budgets, or people. *Experience & Education* · BA/BS or Master’s degree in information technology or a business discipline. · Prior experience working with Data Warehouse. · Prior involvement with Sales and fulfillment business processes*. **Solid understanding of end to end order management processes.* · Experience developing requirement specifications according to standard templates.
