. 5+ years of experience in IT . Experience with Windows 2003 / 2008 OS . Install, configure, support and maintain the hardware, software, and operational needs of a highly-available system. . Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. . Manage, implement& test Windows upgrades, including impact analysis on new features, releases and patches, managing the upgrade project, including testing and Production cutover. Schedule installations and upgrades, and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. . Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. . Develop, document and promote standard operating procedures. . Manage Helpdesk/Remedy problem tickets and respond to users with assistance or resolution. . Manage HW support service requests with Windows Support. Support on-site/remote HW/SW remediation with hardware and technical support staff. . Log and follow up on service requests (SRs) that require integration with Cisco. . Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and configurations. . Provide periodic diagnosis, profiling and annual reporting of performance of Windows servers, including periodic performance and capacity reporting. . Participate in the periodic testing of the Windows Disaster Recovery Plan. . 24 x 7 on call duties.
