Job Roles: Solaris System Administrator
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration -: 12+ months
Rate: 50hr c2c basis.
Skills
Solaris System Administrator responsible for executing daily service delivery
of planning, organizing, evaluating, troubleshooting, installing and tuning of
multiple large Solaris systems in a centralized data center environment.
Responsible to support Customer specific Security policies and procedures
including full User access support, support for internal and external audits
and compliance testing.
Strong understanding and comprehension of ITIL fundamentals
Proficient with Zones and Container configuration, administration and
maintenance
Sun Cluster administration and experience.
Experience with large scale EMC storage arrays utilizing a multi-tiered,
multi-fabric, multi-path fibre channel environment of Cisco 9509 MDS switches.
Disaster recovery experience including data replication technologies
Operating system and third party application software Patching and customized
scripting skills
Strong knowledge of Solaris OS fundamentals
Practical experience in Jumpstart Installation, Solaris Volume Manager (SVM),
Veritas Volume Manager(VXVM), NFS, performance monitoring utilities and other
core UNIX commands
Experience in SCSI, SSA, LTO and DLT tape drive and automated tape library
technologies
Solid understanding of disk system concepts (RAID design, LUN creation, data
replication) is needed
Experience writing scripts and procedures for day-to-day operations
Preferred working experience in middleware support like BEA Weblogic, IBM
Websphere.
