Billing Rate (USD) : $65 - $70 /Hr
Technical/Functional Skills :
. Ability to facilitate the completion of work by individuals inside and
outside the immediate team.
. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work
and effectively communicate with IT management personnel, peers, and outside
vendors important.
o Demonstration of good technical and tactical thinking and problem
solving.
. Technical Skills
o Technology based background with solid understanding of reporting
products, including Oracle Business Intelligence-Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
. Job experience (number of years, type/level of previous experience)
o 10 Years experience and knowledge with OBIEE platform (Hyperion
knowledge may be substituted for partial experience). This includes utilities,
scripts, backup/recovery and business continuity practices.
o 10 Years experience and knowledge of database technology (Oracle and
MS/SQL Server).
o 10 Years of work experience with increasing responsibilities.
Experience Required 10+
Roles & Responsibilities : . Implementation, maintenance and
sustainment for all levels of database environments:
o Coordinate compliance management;
o Coordinate security protocols;
o Perform and/or assist with patches and upgrades;
o Installation of new package and/or rebuilding environments from clones
and instructions;
o Monitor and maintain operational capability;
o Help identify issues and suggest ways to help correct or tune
performance issues;
o Coordinate backups;
o Coordinate user account and privilege management.
. Help conduct technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation
of tools and methodologies to ensure that tools are current and functional.
. Analyze and study reporting requirements to proactively design, plan,
and deploy needed capabilities.
. Work with development teams and designers to develop architectural
requirements to ensure client satisfaction with product.
. Mentor junior staff members to improve their technical and professional
skills.
. Lead reporting development and integration efforts and oversee the
validation of associated work products.
. Provide answers to client inquiries concerning applications, databases,
and support. Refer inquires as necessary to appropriate personnel.
. Provide end user support related to reporting access and software
installation and maintenance.
. Document and provide support; resolve issues to ensure that the system
is functioning according to specifications.
. Work in partnership with system administrators and engineering groups
to assist in the design changes to equipment. Determine the impact upon
software deployments, operations, and supportability to ensure timely and
uninterrupted service for the customer.
. Knowledgeable of applicable standards and best practices.
. Assist with estimates on costs and schedule for required changes to
system baseline configurations.
. Participate in hardware and software configuration management.
. Participate in on-call rotation.
Generic Managerial Skills : This position will have both
Information Technology and Business Partner customers. The candidate must be
able to interact with executive level staff. The applicant will be required to
build strong, trustworthy relationships based on open, two-way communication.
The ability to communicate options, limitations and a recommendation should be
respectful of the customer's knowledge. The ability to negotiate an acceptable
solution will be a critical success factor.
