Role -: Data Stage Developer Location -: San Antonio, Texas Assignment Start Date-: 6/18/2012 Rate(USD) for Vendor-: $55/hr on c2c basis Duration-: 12 Months Yrs of Experience -: 3 Yrs - 6 Yrs Mandatory Technical /Functional Skills-: IBM Datastage Parallel Edition V 7.5 or higher Role-: . Co-ordination with the Business users and the IT team to get the Development Requirements prepared and gathering. . Extensively involved on all the phases of SDLC for the project. . Self starter and motivated person with strong analytical skills who can gain understanding of existing systems, tools, designs and available technology and then participate in the planning and estimation of new initiatives. . Low level design and effort estimation for new development projects, defects and change requests. . Developing and Enhancing Datastage parallel jobs using various stages such as Join, Lookup, Remove Duplicates, Filter, Dataset, Modify, Aggregator and Transformer etc. . Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading from different source systems. . Creating and maintaining UNIX shell scripts for the project. . Creating and building test cases based on the requirements. . Debugging, Performance tuning of the Parallel jobs and Error handling . Supporting the Daily warehouse batch along with issue resolution while following the client specific escalation procedures . Managing the Offshore team, assigning tasks, organizing and conducting teleconference calls with the Offshore/Onsite at onshore for project requirements and status discussions . Optimizing execution with applying best performing techniques . Troubleshooting on ETL performance issues . Study and understand the process and procedures followed in the project and identify and implement process improvement methods . Task Planning and Scheduling . Team mentoring and work progress reporting .
