We need a product specialist who can help us set the right engineering
strategy for our reporting platform with best utilization of what Cognos
v10 has to offer.
Overview:
The consultant will provides Subject matter expertise with Cognos BI for a
large Financial Services client. The Cognos SME will work closely with the
ETL and Data Architects ensuring that we develop and support a robust
Information Data Model with corresponding Metadata layer. Manage & Set up
the functional rollout solution that incorporates a COGNOS-based
Information. Must have experience implementing best practices based BI
solutions that will enable detailed data to be dramatically simplified.
Requirements:
1. Must have exp 3-5 yrs exp Managing Data Warehouse projects
specifying requirements for an Information Delivery solution preferably
---Must have prior experience gathering, identifying & clarifying reporting
requirements
a. Ability to translate requirements into design specifics that leverage
pre-built COGNOS and/or Impact Analysis components and how these components
may need to be expanded or extended or configured to achieve requirements
b. Previous experience managing and conducting facilitated requirements
and design sessions with a diverse group of business and technical
participants
c. Set and enforce Cognos BI standards and architecture principles for
all BIW projects and ensure that the reporting requirements are adequately
understood and documented.
2. The Cognos SME must have previous exp with following
Cost Trending Initiatives
Customer Reporting and Analysis capabilities to support
Consultative Analytics processes
Provider performance analysis capabilities that support pay for
performance quality and utilization reporting.
3. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
4. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and
effective communicator
5. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of
this project.
