SAP BASIS/SECURITY TECHNICAL MANAGER (Client Services Lead - CSL)

 

This requirement is for a Technical Client Service Lead (CSL) position to
work in a Global SAP Operations model for a Pharmaceuticals client. This
position is accountable for managing SAP Technical resources in the areas of
BASIS, Security, Portal, Process Integration (PI), Business Intelligence
(BI) and ABAP. The resources will be based at various offshore and onsite
locations. The CSL's accountability will also include maintaining
professional working relationships with client directors and leads, managing
SAP Technical issues and ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met.

 

Responsibilities

 

.         Direct and manage technical support activities in the global SAP
environment, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans

.         Manage escalations for support emergencies and exceptions

.         Direct and manage scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration
with senior management and stakeholders

.         Take ownership of business requirement demand management for
planning resource utilization

.         Effectively communicate management expectations to team members in
a timely and clear fashion and take responsibility for adherence

.         Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements and pro-actively
address potential SLA problems

.         Initiating and implementing performance improvements

.         Perform periodic quality reviews including metrics for SAP
technical activities and productivity improvement

.         Create, review and provide recommendations on SAP technical
procedures and architecture

.         Plan and schedule SAP support and maintenance activities using
appropriate tools

 

Requirements

 

.         Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer Science, Math,
Engineering or related fields

.         10-15 years of overall IT experience

.         5+ years of experience in managing SAP Technical teams

.         Strong knowledge of SAP application development, system
administration, integration and security 

.         Strong working knowledge of office productivity and project
management tools

.         Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

.         Extensive SAP technical project management experience

.         Extensive experience in managing diverse technical resources

.         Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively
with all levels of management and service providers

.         Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively

.         Solid experience in managing scope and schedules with multiple
stakeholders

.         Must be customer service oriented

.         Must be able to work flexible hours due to time zone differences
