*Job Title: HAWC F5 Build Engineer* *Location: Charlotte, NC*
*Duration: 9 Months with Extension*** *Expected Responsibilities*: Participates in architecture and operation of server and global load balancing, iRule development, secured tiered network, Internet, and remote access infrastructures. Generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, documents, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture that meets client needs. Works with various vendor solutions and designs new network products to integrate with new and existing client environments. Uses proven technologies to develop solution sets to expand services across client base. Conducts network assessments to validate enterprise baseline and provide context for future network direction. Identifies, evaluates, and designs future networking products based on business demands and technology direction. Assumes lead role in leveraging applicable best practices for network design and enterprise business solutions. Leads problem management and resolution in the support of deployed technology and acts as subject matter expert on high severity production outages. Works with outsource vendor to drive technical accountability for network standards, baselines, architecture, and solutions engineering. Day to day functions include Manage the server and global load balancer topology .Work with application groups to determine optimal application traffic design. Develop custom iRules.Troubleshoot load balancer and related application issues. Identify, design and implement flexible, responsive, and secure technology services.Research and evaluate infrastructure strategies, hardware/software, security and networking products. Advise management of options, risk vs. cost, benefits and other impacts of infrastructure solutions. Set technical standards for network infrastructure, security baselines, policies and procedures.Develop and document infrastructure support policies and guidelines.Monitor trends and recommend future architecture strategies and roadmaps. Educate and mentor IT support staff as needed, including requisite training on technology and governance.Research and stay current on Infrastructure best practices and function as a subject matter expert in this area.Work with outsource vendor to drive sound architectures, engineering designs, and configuration templates.Engage in complex production impacting technical issues and work to troubleshoot and restore service.The position will be responsible to provide 24/7 tier-3 on-call support *Tasks and Responsibilities:* Produces management reports and other periodic analyses and systems metrics. Prepares various analysis/ad hoc projects. * * *Suggested Experience & Qualifications:* Preferable Certifications: F5, CISSP or comparable experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related relevant experience Desired Skill sets: F5 global and server load balancing, iRule creation, firewall (Netscreen and Fortinet), Routing, TCP/IP. Must understand application development and lifecycle concepts. Application and network troubleshooting skills required. 5+ years working experience with a broad range of hardware, networking, application and/or security solutions. Demonstrated experience supporting data system architectures and implementing related solutions. Experience creating, troubleshooting and supporting multi-site, multi-tier system environments, and corporate Data Center facilities.
