*Position: Sr Business Analyst*

Duration:  6 Months+

Location: Harrisburg, PA





*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: **
*• Creates and maintains SQL Server database objects, including tables,
stored procedures, and SSIS packages, to capture vendor performance data
and operational measures from various sources. Produces summary reports for
management from these data and analyzes results to ensure accuracy, and may
also analyze for trends and anomalies.
• Constructs or assists peers in the construction of queries and Excel
models to support operational processes or analyses.
• Participates in cross-functional task forces to identify and document
functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution
paths, and system specifications.
• Evaluates existing application products which could address client
requirements and develops recommendations where appropriate.
• Participates in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective
solutions which support client business processes and functional
requirements.
• Conducts analysis of business processes and functional requirements and
prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the
information.

• Often contributes to project teams. Solicits business and technical
insight from teammates and offers their own insight. Regularly reports
project status to management and consults with management and others to
determine appropriate courses of action.
• Gathers and massages data from various sources to produce performance
metrics.
• Performs operational support activities such as maintaining database
tables and dictionaries, troubleshooting failures, and communicating
process exceptions and status to stakeholders.
• Inspects output for quality and reports or resolves anomalies.

• Demonstrates sound judgment, solicits input from team members to reach
conclusions, and escalates issues to management when appropriate.

• Completes administrative requirements in an accurate and timely manner
(e.g., time reporting, status reporting, etc.).
• Performs other duties as required.

*Qualifications:*

*Basic Qualifications: **
*• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5 – 7 years experience in data analysis in a customer service environment
within the health care industry.

*Preferred Qualifications: **
*• 4 - 6 years experience creating solutions using Microsoft Access, Excel,
or other business user tools with progressively more complex
responsibilities and accountabilities preferred.
• 2 - 4 years experience designing, creating, and maintaining SQL Server
database tables, stored procedures, and SSIS packages.
• Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint content and simple data
driven web pages preferred.
• Understanding of health care business and care delivery processes and/or
vendor management preferred.

*• Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis, meeting
facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal
interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
• Proficient skills in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools
required.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work well under stress in a fast-paced
environment.
• Excellent organizational aptitude and high attention to details.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain production levels and quality goals.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task well.
