The SAP BO Senior Developer has responsibility for the design, development, and
long term support of the SAP Business Objects environment. The ideal candidate
will have proven experience with SAP BO implementations; to include Universe
design & construction against Oracle DW, BO WEBI & Crystal report development,
BO Crystal Dashboard development, Excelsius and BO Portal configuration.
The BO Developer will be responsible for the start to finish development of
reporting, advanced analytics, and dash-boarding solutions. The BO Developer
must be able to work with the business to gather user requirements and design
universes and reporting solutions around those requirements. The BO Developer
is responsible for the management and support of the SAP BO landscape
including, prioritization of work scope, design, development, documentation and
testing. This person will provide second line support for all Business
Intelligence related user issues, so must have or acquire a comfortable depth
of knowledge of how the systems operate.
Key responsibilities:
Perform analysis, design, implementation and support of BO Universes, BO
Reports & Dashboards (including all SAP BO front-end tools) Perform analysis,
design, implementation and support of BO Security Database development, to
include SQL queries, SQL stored procedures, db table and view development
Business Objects Production support ESRI ArcGIS, ArcMAP, and ArcInfo
development is desirable Ongoing project based development and enhancements
Communication with key business users, influencing scope and pace in delivering
business requirements, and ensuring on time phased delivery Communication with
DW Developers for data staging and definitions in support of Universe design &
construction, and data loads Ongoing requirements validation and testing Other
advanced analytic platform skills desirable Key Competencies/Traits/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or
related field of study. Ability to clearly communicate with the users and IT
management by understanding requirements, ROI and be able to choose and propose
options. Report development experiences on SAP BOE 3.1 or higher Oracle DW
integration development experience Data Warehousing design & development
experience, outside of Oracle DW Database SQL query, table, & view design and
development experience Integration development experiences with ESRI ArcGIS
Server a plus Experience with SAS Enterprise Miner a plus Candidate must
possess minimum 6 years of development experience with SAP Business Objects,
including experience in: ?Database technology (Oracle, MS SQL, etc.) ?BO
Universe ?BO Reporting ?BO Dashboards ?BO Security ?Integration with Oracle DW
?Integration with ARCGIS ETL tools in general, and BODS specific, capability
knowledge System administration and troubleshooting skills for query, system
performance, and data load analysis Excellent communication, documentation,
organization, collaborative and inter-personal skills BODS development
experience a plus Familiarity With the Business Objects Central Management
Console (CMC) Familiarity with the server installation and support and the
Central Configuration Management (CCM) tool. Knowledge of the Tomcat
Application server
