Position : *Systems Engineer*

*Systems Engineer*
* Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product
requirements into a total systems solution that are within the specified
technical, schedule, and cost constraints
* Design and implement performance and/or quality improvements for the
current precision guidance product line
* Work closely in a cross-fucntional team to ensure the final product
has: well defined requirements; compatible SW, electronics, and mechanical
HW which function properly together and at the specified level of
performance
* Represents all engineering concerns at project team meetings
* Coordinates and follows engineering responsibilities from
requirements analysis, operational concept development, system design,
component integration, design reviews, FMEA’s, and general problem solving
* Works with Supply Management, Sales, Marketing, and QA to optimize
designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability
*The following skills/attributes are necessary:*
Systems Engineering Experience – at least 5 years of qualified
experience in:
o Leading systems definition, trade-off and design activities
o Leading analysis of system requirements and components
o Analyzing system performance
o Planning future Product Line generations
· Working with in Ag Guidance Systems and/or GPS Guidance Systems
· Excellent communications and interpersonal skills – must be able
to interface with engineers and staff from a variety of disciplines and
domains (i.e. administrators, marketing, productions, field engineers,
customers, etc.).
· Expert knowledge of systems engineering principles
· MBSD – Model-Based Product Development, preferably using SIMULINK
· Ability to participate/contribute in a team environment
· A positive, can-do attitude and a good work ethic
The following skills/attributes are very desirable (but not required):
· Work experience in the Ag Industry or a farming background
· CAN Bus or J1939 experience
· Practical working experience of the AGILE Product Development
