Work closely with business user areas to assure that their needs are being met. . Should be able to understand Financial budgeting and forecasting decisions . Should be an experienced modeler to help with the daily administration and development of several Cognos Planning applications . Experience with user support is a must . Position will rely heavily on Cognos Planning Analyst and Cognos Planning Contributor/Contributor Administration Console. . Experience IBM Cognos BI and Cognos Technical Administration is a plus. . Experience in providing training is desirable . Research best practices and provide end user support for application use, programming technique, data access . Creating new applications and associated data stores. . Linking existing applications. . Publishing the application so that it is available for budgeting purposes. . Maintaining security in the applications and in the package. . Installation of web client on end-users' machines with the help of EOS . Creating publish container . Setup and execute dashboards on monthly or on-demand basis. . Resolving issues, if any. . Require background both in BI and Planning . Deep knowledge in Best Practices for implementing BI/DW projects involving Data integration sourcing from multiple sources, Data Stewardship, Operations/Maintenance, Metadata Management and Infrastructure Management. . Knowledge of Data Delivery as a Service utilizing Cloud technologies viz. Force.com from Salesforce and Azure from Microsoft. . Very much hands-on experience in Cognos BI tools starting from 6.x to the latest 10.1, including installation and configuration. . Hands-on expertise in Data Modeling, Enterprise level complex reports involving SQL queries, designing and developing OLAP analytical cubes. . Extensive knowledge in BI tools like Cognos, Oracle BIEE, MS BIDS tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), QlikView, Tableau etc. Required skills, education, and experience: . Bachelor's degree required. . 7+ years experience in Cognos Planning, business analysis with demonstrated analytical, problem solving and partnership skills. . Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. . Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on areas within his/her accountability. . Solid customer service skills and a consultative approach to dealing with internal customers. . Able to communicate broad and specific concepts to team and to internal clients. . Skills in sound judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking.
