Solution Architect / Lead Profile Requirement
Role BI/DW Solution Architect
Client location Columbus, IN, USA
Rates -: $70-75/hr on c2c basis
Role description:
Lead analysis and design activities for multiple BI projects and lead BI Analysts
& technical leads from a technology and solution architecture perspective
Participate in strategy discussions and guide Business customer and Project
stakeholders on the same
Design owner for assigned projects, conduct regular design reviews and play an
active role in project execution
Engage with business teams during planning phases to conduct feasibility analysis
(Technical & Solution) of the projects
Escalate design challenges to IT managers and suggest alternate approaches
where needed
Mentor Business Analysts, ETL & BI technical leads/architects along with
general project management skill (planning, estimation etc)
Provide estimates for projects / Review estimates generated by other solution
architects
Experience description :
10 Years of experience, with at least 3 years as a solution architect charged
with leading multiple projects/modules of a Data warehousing program
Must have defined, designed and implemented DW and Analytics solutions for
complex areas involving more than 1 functional domains
Must have experience in requirements gathering, reviews, solution design,
estimation and general planning for project execution, monitoring & control
Experience in OBIEE/OBIA/BO and Informatica/OWB or any other reporting & ETL
tools a must.
Experience in performance tuning of ETL & reporting applications.
Exposure to Capacity planning, sizing infrastructure.
Should have worked in a collaborative environment with stake holders from IT
and Business interacting on a daily basis
Skills required as envisaged by the account:
Conceptually strong on Data Warehousing, Enterprise Data Management, Modeling
techniques and ability to create solutions
Ability to define ETL, reporting approach for multiple projects spread across
Supply Chain / Sales & Marketing / Finance / Manufacturing / Service.
Must have gathered and analyzed requirements for BI solutions
Good verbal & written communications skills a must.
Should have worked in a collaborative environment with stake holders from IT
and Business interacting on a daily basis
Critical and Mandatory:
> 10 Years of experience, with at least 3 years as a solution architect charged
with leading multiple projects/modules of a Data warehousing program
Must have defined, designed and implemented DW and Analytics solutions for
complex areas involving more than 1 functional domains
Must have experience in requirements gathering, reviews, solution design,
estimation and general planning for project execution, monitoring & control
