Demonstrable competency in the following areas:
1.      Information Architecture: Focus – The interface structure &
navigation scheme. Design a UI structure that satisfies the business
strategy, product strategy, and user strategy, which accommodates known
requirements.
Competencies include:
·         Contextual analysis;
·         Business process/Business Rules;
·         Product branding/Product roadmap/UI roadmap

2.      Interaction design: Focus – The page-level layout, task fulfillment
and component flow. Create rich user experience, though conceptual design,
which integrates the latest UI patterns & components. This requires a “deep
dive” into the minutia of page elements, presentation and page flow.
Competencies;
·         Visual framework
·         User feedback/User motivation
·         Labels & Content/Application level hierarchy
·         User assistance
·         Form design & flow
·         Button groups & placement/Element key states

3.      Usability Engineering: Focus – The study of discrepancies between
expected & actual user behavior. Provide usability testing deliverables
creating documentable pre-test & post-test verification models.
Competencies:
·         Test goals
·         Test scripts/tasks
·         Navigation
·         Content/terminology
·         Presentation/interaction
·         Participant recruiting
·         Summative/formative testing

4.      Visual Design: Focus – The consistent visual treatment of elements
& components. Create visual designs that communicate our brand within and
across our applications and social media sites – focusing on interactivity
communication, information structures, workflows & relationships between
elements & components on a screen.
Competencies:
·         Visual hierarchy
·         Similarity/Proximity
·         Color/Texture
·         Shape/Direction/Size/Typeface

5.      Prototype Engineering: Focus – The functioning composition of
proposed interactive components. Deliver prototypes of concept models for
testing by usability engineering.
Competencies:
·         Page-element interactive states
·         Technical approach/UI Patterns/UI Components
·         Page template/type
