*Title: **Biztalk developer/admin with vmware* *Location:* Westwood, MA, 02090 *Duration: *5 Months Contract (Will extend possibly) * * *Job Description: * Summary of Responsibilities: The IT Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the building and maintaining of the New York Life Retirement Plan Services (RPS) server and network infrastructure. In addition, this Sr. Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems and all platforms supporting RPS enterprise systems. This is a technical role, working with other senior members of the QA, Development and SQL team. The candidate must have a strong background in Microsoft Windows 2008, VMware VSphere 4 and/or 5, enterprise storage technologies (e.g. EMC), LAN/WAN technologies, and network/infrastructure administration. Biztalk experience is a must. *Specific Duties and Responsibilities:* Infrastructure Support -Build systems as part of project requirements and on occasion as part of ad hoc requests -Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes -Respond to systems issues to best support our internal customers -Participate in 24 x 7 on-call rotation -Ability to respond to crisis situations in a methodical way and to prioritize work effectively -Ability to take project ownership Operational Administration: -Write, deliver, and update concise and logical technical documentation, including, but not limited to; diagrams, charts, specifications and design models -Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems -Demonstrate working knowledge of Windows performance tuning -Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company?s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies -Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications. *Job Requirements:* -College degree in Information Technology and Microsoft certifications are helpful but not required.
