Overall Job Summary: This position has responsibility for advanced application development and support services focused on data warehousing activities for the Americas Sales, Marketing, Finance and Business Operations groups. Applications supported by this position include: Oracle and Microsoft SQL Data Warehouse Java based Applications Business areas supported are Direct Sales, Indirect Sales, Master Data Management Tools Responsibilities Maintain and support production data warehouse and applications, following IT best-practices for software development Problem analysis and solving using SQL language (either Oracle or Microsoft SQL) Create and review software documentation Participate in code reviews Coordinate with Project Manager and Technical Leads Work with Subject Matter Experts to help identify issues and to refine requirements Develop detailed program specifications based on business requirements Analyze functional specifications and assist in designing technical solutions Develop test scripts and test the code following standards and architecture Assists in the development, execution and documentation of system and integration test plans Performs impact analysis for systems/database modifications. Assists with and promotes continuous quality improvement throughout the lifecycle. Within above scope of responsibility operate according to internal standards, external audit standards, regulatory standards, and legal requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, computer science, or equivalent technical field OR equivalent technical experience. 5-7 years /SQL Programming Experience. Strong DDL and DML writing skills are essential as well as being able to write complex queries for reporting Experience with Data Warehousing as an Architect Candidate must demonstrate excellent written communication skills via experience with data warehouse design documentation (Requirements documentation, Design Reviews, Technical Specifications, etc) 5-7 Years related industry experience.
