Defines the architecture of an IT solution. Is responsible for understanding enterprise architecture, reference architect, standards and technology direction. Accountable to make the solution consistent with the enterprise direction. o Business knowledge specific to a business domains o Works with the Enterprise Architect to align with enterprise direction o Expert knowledge and understanding of applicable EA Principles, Technology Directions, Reference Architectures and Standards and assists in ensuring solutions follow EA direction. Will assist in championing and leading enterprise solutions that meet E A direction. • Assist and co-author reference architecture, technology directions and maintenance of standards and documentation. o Uses a disciplined method to ensure consistency and repeatable results. o Guides Engineers in creating architecture and design. Ensures that the technical team understands the vision. o Lead/participate in detailed design reviews o Deliverables include: System Context, Architecture Overview, Architecture Decisions, Conceptual / Logical Data Models, Infrastructure Models with Engineer/domain architecture assistance. o Work with the business to ensure their requirements are being met by the project and are compliant with enterprise standards. o Engage with both operational support teams and project teams for implementation of overall design. *Additional Requirements:* • Communications and relationship building - engage in significant interaction with leadership and technical levels; able to effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences; effectively develop relationships with individuals inside IT. Deliver difficult messages and express disagreement with others with confidence and self-control. Address challenges to technical recommendations and influence others to change their approach and work collectively in a highly matrixed organization to implement new/difficult initiatives. Gain support and consensus from related stakeholders for the solution. • Seen by others as a "go-to" technical resource and advisor offering meaningful technical solutions; can quickly resolve issues that are complex and uncharted; accountable for coaching/mentoring associates on their technical versatility and problem solving skills; inspiring and mentoring other senior technologies. Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for multiple projects. • The individual is expected to be a long term resource that understands our environment and builds the relationships necessary to succeed. They will be working simultaneously on multiple projects and need to have significant experience working in large highly matrixed corporations.
