*Here is a description of the position:*
*Our client is currently seeking a **SAP/JAVA/ABAP DEVELOPER *
Our Client has an immediate need to hire: *SAP JAVA / ABAP Developer*. As
part of the Technical Team, the candidate will be responsible for:
development of *FRICEW objects, code reviews, troubleshooting issues,
resolving trouble tickets, maintaining development standards*; other duties
include providing functional and *JAVA / ABAP* expertise, collaborating and
reviewing, coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to the development
for the internal community
*Education*: 4-yr College Degree preferably in Information Systems or
Computer Science.
*Skills Required:*
- Demonstrates knowledge of *SAP JAVA and ABAP* development
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to monitor application design and ensure compliancy with
architectural standards
- Good conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business
problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
- Strong knowledge of procedural and object oriented programming
techniques.
*Experience required:*
- Experience with various Business packages – ESS, MSS, SRM, SUS and
e-sourcing.
- Experience changing ESS and MSS Web Dynpro Java applications
- Floor Plan manager (FPM) used in Web Dynpro Java
- Experience with JSP Dynpage and Abstract Portal component development.
- Ability to develop custom portal applications based on Portal
components, Java and Web Dynpro Java
- Develop portal applications to interact with other systems using ABAP
function modules and Web Services
- Experience with Federated Portal Network (FPN) setup and
configuration.
- Able to read ABAP code and debug ABAP issues pertaining to portal
- UWL and Personal Object Worklist (POWL) configuration in portal and
backend ABAP system.
- Knowledge on NetWeaver development Infrastructure (NWDI)
- Knowledge on NetWeaver developer studio to do JAVA development
- Knowledge on iViews / Pages / Worksets
- Knowledge on Content Administration, User Administration and Knowledge
Management configuration in SAP Portal
- RCF ABAP objects development and debugging skills
- SAP Adobe Form development (Offline, Online and Print forms)
- Demonstrate broad ABAP experience in the following areas: Workflow,
Object Oriented programming, Data Dictionary, BAPI, BADI, RFC, ALE/EDI,
IDOC, ALV programming, Classical and Interactive Reporting, BDC, SAP
Scripts, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms (offline/interactive), Enhancement, User
Exits, Dialog Programming, Interface/ABAP Proxy programming, LSMW, BSP,
ABAP Web Dynpro, Performance Tuning, Function Module development, and Spool
programming.
- Experience with Charm is plus
*Description of Duties:*
The candidate will provide application developer support to the SAP
Software Coding team for day to day operations. Typical responsibilities
will include: interfacing with external programs/projects to clarify
requirements, performing in-depth analysis related to complex system
issues; answering queries; analyzing and developing coding patterns, best
practices and standards as it relates to SAP JAVA / ABAP Landscape at NS;
providing functional and JAVA / ABAP expertise to the NS IT team;
collaborating and reviewing, coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to
development community at NS; leading trouble shooting of critical problems,
performance tuning; and performing other duties and responsibilities as
assigned.
