Looking forward to hear from you... * * *Role: **Linux System Software Developer* *Location: **Sunnyvale, CA * *Duration: 6 Months* *Rate: $/hr on C2C All Incl.* * * *Description:* This job involves working in the Linux kernel and Networking stack so that it runs on new platforms, as well as optimizing the system for performance, power and responsiveness. * * *This entails:* · Analyzing gaps in Linux kernel and drivers on specific platforms. · System performance enhancements working in Linux networking, esp. enabling wifi on latest modules. · Creating functional/design documentation where necessary. · Working with QA to ensure proper test coverage. * * *Knowledge and Skills:* · 5+ years of software development experience in Linux on x86 PCs. · Excellent in C programming, OS concepts and Linux internals. · Ability to understand and modify shell scripts and daemons. · Linux networking experience is a strong plus. · Linux security experience is a plus. · Must be able to write functional/design documentation. · Must be able to write and execute unit test plans. · Ability to analyze, isolate, describe and prioritize defects in a complex software/hardware environment. · Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages. · Strong Analytically and problem solving skills.
