Job Title:PMO Project Manager (SharePoint)

screen.

The Project Manager leads and manages IT projects.  This role manages,
supports, and assists all aspects of a project from original concept
through the final implementation, ensuring governance process adherence,
project continuity, and stakeholder management.  The Project Manager
develops project budgets and is responsible for performance against
financial parameters and monitoring and reporting on projects.  She/he has
responsibility for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of
project oriented work efforts. The Project Manager is responsible for
tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or
resources to meet the needs of business partners.  The role coordinates
communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope,
schedule, cost, quality, risk and resources of the work effort being
managed.
The Project Manager is responsible for assembling project plans and
teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily
basis, identifying resource needs, and escalating associated risks, issues
and change requests appropriately.  The role oversees the work of project
based resources and assists with performance reviews.
Project Managers utilize the corporate and department specific project
management processes and methodologies to ensure that projects are
delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet
business partner expectations.  Project Managers provide feedback to the
Project Management Office, PMO, and/or the Enterprise Project Management
Office, EPMO, for recommendations for process improvement and for capturing
lessons learned for sharing across the organization.  Project Managers are
also responsible for ensuring that the change management activities (the
“people side” of change) are planned for and implemented.  They assist
Program Manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business
community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to
achieve the goals of the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities
•Manage all aspects of IT projects, including monitoring scope, schedule,
cost, quality, dependencies, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle
•Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets and financial
forecasts
•Responsible for performance against financial parameters and monitoring
and reporting on projects
•Create project artifacts, such as project plans, metrics, team and
stakeholder communications, resource requirements and schedules
•Identify and acquire project resources
•Monitor and report project performance against the project plan and take
corrective action when required
•Ensure that requirements are developed, understood and prioritized
•Ensure that deliverables meet the agreed upon requirements and are
completed on schedule, within budget, and with the defined level of quality
•Manage the project risk, issue and change request process
•Manage the work of project-based resources and the day-to-day interactions
with suppliers
•Provide guidance for team members and review overall progress
•Provide critical feedback to the individual members and/or the team
member’s manager when necessary
•Assist with the performance reviews for project-based resources
•Ensure projects follow all company and departmental policies, procedures,
and standards
•Identify and highlight risks and issues within the project and escalate
appropriately
•Devise effective mitigation and escalation strategies to address risks
•Lead regular project reviews with project sponsors and stakeholders
•Propose governance structures and processes to drive and manage the project
•Support the implementation of the company and department project
management methodology and governance tools
•Drive projects through project governance methodology and ensure
compliance to stage gates
•Suggest project management related process improvements
•Capture lessons learned and communicate to the PMO and EPMO for sharing
with other projects
•Ensure that the project is formally closed

Technical Knowledge and Experience
•Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management
methodologies and tools
•Experience with planning and managing all phases of system development
(e.g., requirements gathering, design, configuration, development, COTS
selection, testing, conversion and application support)
•Successful delivery of multiple cross-functional, medium complexity
projects
•Experience leading projects in multiple technologies and functions
•Knowledge and or experience with waterfall and agile SDLC techniques
•Demonstrated understanding of leadership principles, resource management
practices, and organizational change management techniques
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities within a shared services
organization model
•Experience with SharePoint a must.

PMP certification (within 3 years of entering the PM job family)
