*LINUX ADMINSTRATOR(7+ Yrs experience at-least)* *Phoenix, AZ* *Long Term Contract* *SKILLS NEEDED* · Must have strong datacenters and networking experience, protocols and associated services (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP/SFTP, SCP, rsync, nmap, nc). · Understanding of Load Balancing, clustering, and web caching technologies. · Experience configuring RedHat, RHEL, CentOS and other flavors o Linux. Should be familiar with high availability configurations, security and patch management. · Knowledgeable with OpenLDAP, DNS, DHCP and Linux packages. · Strong Knowledge of Monitoring and Trending systems - Nagios, Cacti, Graphite, SplunkRH · Certified Engineer, Network+, Linux+, CCNA, certified or equivalent experience. · Familiar with Linux and hardening Linux servers (IPTables, scripting, etc). · Experience using, installing and administering the following software packages: Apache, MySQL, rpm/yum and PHP. · Knowledge Scripting tools, such as Perl, Shell, Ruby or similar. *ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED* · Proficiency with Cisco networking configuration and troubleshooting as well as firewall and routing management · Familiarity working with NoSQL technologies, especially Hadoop/HDFS systems · Experience with OS and package automation using Foreman and Puppet · Knowledge of security best practices from the user level all the way up to the enterprise network layer. (IPS/IDS, user security education, application hardening) · Proficiency setting up and managing NFS, LDAP, Bind/DNS, DHCP · Experience deploying and managing KVM *JOB DUTIES* · Conducts server builds, applies patches, release upgrades and modifications to server operating system hardware and software. · Configures, optimizes, fine-tunes, monitors/maintains server operating systems & systems applications. · Performs system administration tasks, including adding users, user groups and accounts. · Performs system backups and recovery procedures; Assists in disaster recovery testing. · Analyzes, diagnoses, troubleshoots/resolves system hardware, software, networking/production issues. · Monitors and manages system resources, including server performance, CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. · Writes or modifies basic scripts and performs light programming to resolve performance problems and automate systems administration tasks. · Resolves escalated problems and identifies and recommends responses to new or unusual situations. · Maintains system documentation and logs. · Documents procedures, including drawings to illustrate applications server hardware, software and network configuration.
