Position: QA Test Lead Location:Little Rock, AR or Jefferson City, MO. Duration:12-18 month contracts The Test Lead works in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)-driven organizational framework and provides testing expertise for various technology environments.This role is responsible for developing, executing and evaluating software test plans. The Test Lead will: • Review and analyze technical requirements, gain a thorough understanding of project scope and build a test plan that is aligned with project parameters and goals • Develop and implement a comprehensive end-to-end test plan for a complex software environment on an SOA platform to include a mix of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software solutions, state systems and external government and carrier entities • Develop and maintain test plans using approved software methodology (SDLC) guidance; use testing expertise to ensure compliance with information security, IT and business policies, processes and procedures • Write and execute test cases through manual and automated processes • Build a testing team, lead team members in testing activities, assign and monitor workloads, communicate the overall test plan vision and guide the mechanics of manual and automated testing • Collaborate with IT and non-IT resources to ensure achievement of testing objectives and goals, timely defect resolution, testing schedules and resource availability • Educate testing team members on testing industry best practices • Document, track and report on testing activities including problems, defects, bugs and resolutions; provide a regular status on testing activities and outcomes • Provide oversight for testing timelines, deadlines and schedules and ensure on-time task completion • Recommend software acquisitions/tools to improve business efficiency • Serve as a liaison between various stakeholder groups regarding testing; act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for testing and Quality Assurance (QA) topics in meetings, webinars, conference calls and other forms of communication • Work with key stakeholders and vendors throughout the testing and software development process; understand business needs and associated constraints to craft the best-fit solution • Create and maintain documentation such as test management plans, use case, test scenario templates • Detect all errors and bugs, research the origin of errors and recommend bug fixes • Review technical documentation and maintain knowledge about software releases • Provide oversight for all software installations/updates on hardware in test environments • Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships • Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service • Perform other duties as deemed relevant, based upon experience Required Experience • Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in leading testing and/or QA activities • Two (2) or more years of demonstrated experience with analyzing requirements, executing and documenting tests and performing manual or automated, tool-driven testing scenarios • One (1) or more years of demonstrated experience with testing in web-based or Windows-based environments • Demonstrated experience with building an end-to-end test plan for a large project within a technically complex environment • Familiar with working on an SOA platform • Demonstrated experience testing Client/Server, Graphical User Interface (GUI), Web-based and Java applications using automated tools and manual testing methods in Windows and UNIX environments • Hands-on experience with testing and preparing test plans, cases, reports and scenarios • Demonstrated experience with testing external, two-way interfaces (i.e. carriers, financial institutions, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), etc.) • Proven ability to lead a team and manage relationships with internal staff, vendors and clients • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources Preferred Experience • Healthcare industry background • Experience leading geographically-dispersed teams Critical Skills • Complex Systems Testing • Interpersonal Communication • Implementation • Delegation • Leadership • Detail-oriented • Requirements Analysis • Quality Assurance • Creating Test Plans • Analytical Thinking • Task-oriented • Self-motivated • Solutions-oriented • Defect Reporting and Tracking • Risk Management Education and Certification • BS/BA or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline with five (5) or more years of experience related to this position ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warm Regards, Daniel Hoffman • Business Development Manager• Elite Innovative Solutions, Inc.
