QA Engineer with FINANCIAL background Consulting NYC Job Description: We need a candidate with strong Financial experience outlined below (Market Data - Equity/Forex/Options, Index/Benchmarks, Asset Management, Portfolio Investment modeling, Trading systems). Responsibilities: • Assist with creating and executing test cases, automation of tests, gather test metrics. • Manage deployments in the QA environment, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning. • Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches; manage testing tools and environments, test preparation, execution, and automation. • Provide leadership in quality assurance, change management, process improvement, release management processes, and assessment and reporting. • Continuous review and improvement of the testing and quality assurance methodologies and measurement of these processes. • Effectively interact with global customers, business users and IT staff. Qualifications: • Expert in supporting all quality assurance tasks in the software engineering process. • Experience in supporting test strategy activities, particularly in integration of multiple applications and systems. • Experience in evaluating testing technologies , conducting test strategy design and test script code reviews. • Demonstrated leadership skill with teams to complete tasks within a project. • Demonstrated skill to proactively resolves issues and escalate appropriately. • Experience with Index/Benchmarks or Asset Management or Portfolio Investment modeling or Trading systems. • Experience with Market Data such as Equity, Forex or Options asset classes preferred. • Experience in SQL a must. Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Java and CVS preferred. • Experience in deployments on Weblogic and Oracle preferred. • Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies. • Excellent understanding of release testing, sign-off and deployment methods.
