*Position*: Software Tester *Location*: Herndon, VA *Duration*: 6+ months *Citizenship*: H1, EAD, Green Card, US Citizen *Interview Process*: Phone Interview / Onsite, in-person interview *Rate: $DOE/hr C2C* *Must Have's*: - Demonstrated strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills as it pertains to testing software and providing operational support. - Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - interpret requirements, build testable test cases, validate and interpret results - 5+ years of hands on software testing experience. - Experienced in UAT testing tools, Mercury Quality Center, Clear Quest, DOORS. - Attention to detail is critical for this role. - Must have strong SQL query creation and manipulation skills. *Day to day activities* - Analyze requirements to prepare approach and test case for each test initiative - Design, write and execute repeatable test cases/scripts using Quality Center - Ensure that test case standards are adhered to for all test cases. - Create or modify test data and expected results to be used for validation using a variety of tools. - Store artifacts and test cases in Quality Center - Report testing results and issues in a timely and accurate manner. - Report and track incidents (defects) in Clear Quest - Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve. - Participate in meetings with UAT team and stakeholders to review project planning, status, and issue discussion - May provide the test lead with accurate estimated LOE for completion of design, authoring, and execution of test cases.
