Role : Automotive Embedded Electronics Consultant Location : Colmar, PA *Job Description for USA Onsite – “Automotive Embedded Electronics” Position * Skill Requirement: · Must possess expertise in Automotive embedded electronics – design, development and testing · Must have exposure to 8/16/32 bit controllers, programming in C language · Expertise in vehicle communication protocols like CAN, LIN, J1850, etc. and diagnostic protocols such as K-Line, DiagOnCAN, KWP2000, etc. is a must · Must be able to handle electronics circuit boards, assemble, test and troubleshoot – exposure to testing tools like Soldering iron, multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, etc. is required · Must have experience in full lifecycle development starting from requirements gathering to final field acceptance testing · Electronics Control Units – design and development exposure required · Experience in schematics, board prototyping, assembly and troubleshooting is an added plus · Must have handled offshore development teams – coordination of project execution and front facing · Be able to manage client engagements, prospecting for new projects, proactive and innovative in resolving issues and bridging the gap between Onsite and Offshore. *Job Profile:* · Proactively interacting with client leads and managers to get new projects and requirements for development · Interacting with Technicians and Garage personnel for requirements collection and design validation/testing. Fix up appointments and go independently for data collection and logging · Vehicle try-on for data collection and requirements gathering and confirmation · Must also be able to reverse engineer and arrive at product specifications · Document and communicate the information collected back to Offshore design team · Interact with the offshore design teams in helping them understand the product functionality. · Manage the different running projects’ status and follow up on required pending items with client contacts. · Be able to setup test bench and gather functionality reports and document into requirements · Be a single point of contact for the customer representing the company and offshore team · Be able to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects · Proactively engage the customer and follow up persistently and get things done · Very good in oral and written English communication. Must be able to speak and understand American English · Very good interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact with a diverse set of client persons and also smoothly interact with offshore design teams. Must be mature in handling people and be able to get everyone along.
