*Job Description:*
Client has reached a point in time where our Exchange environment needs to
be rebuilt with an up to date Architecture that has Exchange DAG high
availability integrated into its solution.
*Domain Controllers* – The existing domain controllers are Physical Windows
2003 servers. I would look for the new Domain Controller servers to be
built on Windows 2008 x64 or later platforms.
· Upgrade current Domain Controllers to Server 2008 R2
· Prepare a Windows Server 2003 forest schema for a Domain
Controller That Runs Windows Server 2008 R2
· Because one of the DCs are Server 2003 x32 we cannot complete an
in place upgrade, we will need to completely rebuild the new DCs.
· Keep print controller functions on the New domain controllers
*Exchange Servers* - Build out new Exchange 2010 servers for Chicago &
Atlanta
· Determine the best approach given our existing Physical and
Virtual Architecture
o Determine Server attributes, Storage, CPU, memory
· Decide on whether CAS/HUB & Mailbox servers should be one or two
servers per location
· Create Public IP address and NAT for OWA in Chicago & Atlanta,
configure MX records for failover
· Design and Configure DAG between Chicago and Atlanta
· Migrate existing Exchange mailbox’s to new servers
*Anti SPAM*
· Replace Sendio with Symantecs BrightMail Messaging Gateway.

Thanks and Regards,
Tina B
