We are looking for a passionate, energetic member of an agile team to play
a key role in the
creation of a new website for a leading airline's cargo division.
The front end will be built in a modular way with Spring MVC and will
integrate with back-end systems through a JEE services layer and/or Web
Services. They must have strong technical skills as well as be a good
communicator, and have an eye for technical excellence. Individuals who are
able to contribute in all aspects of the development life cycle as well as
being committed, passionate members of a highly collaborative team will
excel.
*Skills / Experience*
• Strong in Spring 3.0/1 frameworks including but not limited to these
modules (MVC, AOP, ORM, Security)
• Java/JSP, JEE, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, SOA
• Databases/Java Database Frameworks Oracle 10g, Hibernate, Java
Persistence API (JPA 2.0)
• Web Services and web service clients using CXF, WSDL, SOAP, REST, JAX-WS,
JAXB
• Web Servers & Application Servers IBM WebSphere 7.0 and Tomcat 6/7
• Experience and understanding of test first development (Junit)
• Experience with debugging and optimizing your code
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving
skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to mentor others and work very closely with a larger development
team of differing skillsets
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment effectively
• Experience with the agile process
• Experience and understanding of Corba is a plus
• Experience with continuous integration, Maven and Ant
• Experience with identity management and authentication-authorization
systems a plus
• Single Sign on knowledge is a plus

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities*
• Develop new software modules in an iterative way that will collectively
form a larger application
• Review requirements and work collaboratively with team to determine
complexity and appropriate design requirements
• Document design in WIKI (process flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, design
summaries)
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new
hardware, or to improve its performance
• Estimate work to be done as part of an overall agile process
• Coordinate application implementation and test functionality to ensure
specifications are met
