Must have knowledge of IRS, New York State, New York City taxation rules; must have ability to perform fit/gap analysis on business processes against the state and federal regulations; must have ability to perform a system fit/gap analysis on the use of delivered PeopleSoft functionality and have the ability to recognize internal control weaknesses. Must also have the ability to re-design business processes from the ground up for efficiency and to compliment the use of the PeopleSoft Payroll module and ability to prepare functional system requirements for system changes to support new business processes. We have a set of questions we are using with any possible candidates to further drill down to ensure they have the skill set we are seeking. I am providing the questions to you to aid us. Where did they work on optimizing tax processing? How large was the client’s payroll? How complex in terms of taxing authorities? What were the issues? What methods did they use to define and implement new processes? How did they incorporate delivered functionality into the solution?
