*Title:* *ORACLE PROGRAMMER / ANALYST* posted on 2013-08-21 08:16:05 *Job Description:*The Oracle Programmer/Analyst III will be responsible for the definition of new business processes, documentation of business requirements and guidance of the project from assessment through completion. He/she will lead brainstorming sessions with the business stakeholders. - Understand the needs of the business users and translate these into specific project artefacts and deliverables that will be used by CIT to execute the IT work program. - Capture client business needs and to document what is needed to meet those needs from an IT perspective. - Supervision and project management on all aspects of the project, including any components which are outsourced via a managed or staff-augmentation service arrangement - Develop strong familiarity with the ITS/CIT system development methodology and IFC applications, processes and data. Ensure completion of all project activities within CIT – including interaction with other *Job Requirements:* - Combined business analysis and OLAP/Relational Database technical background, a proven record of accomplishment, and a minimum 8 years of workplace experience. - Understanding of the development and documentation of user requirements. The candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills. - Excellent understanding of designing and developing Data Warehouse applications on Oracle platform. The candidate will also potentially carry out development in a relational database/data warehouse environment; therefore, he or she should have a background in designing tables and views in relational databases and be able to use PL/SQL proficiently. - 5+ years of business analysis experience on complex financial IT projects. - Hands-on data warehousing expertise covering all aspects of software project life-cycle, i.e. business and data modeling, data analysis, system design, development, etc. - Familiarity with Back Office processing - Understanding of General Ledger, Sub-Ledger, Chart of Accounts and accounting principles - Must have prior experience in leading development teams - Thorough understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques - Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning techniques for working with the large volume tables - Familiarity with various process modeling techniques (activity hierarchy diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, workflow diagrams, system interface diagrams) - Excellent communication and facilitation skills - Ability to lead and facilitate discussions in large groups - The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, SQL, end-user tools, database and SQL performance tuning. - Identify business and functional requirements, and actively participate in the requirements, design and build phases; delivering high quality deliverables - Provide overall support to ensure the successful planning, design, testing and implementation of Business Intelligence applications.
