*Title: Network Performance Expert*
*Location: Atlanta, GA*
*Duration: 6 Months*
*GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:-*
- SON (Self Organizing Network) Server component monitoring.
- SON Sever <--> Customer OMS/OSS connectivity monitoring.
- SON Applications activity monitoring.
- Monitoring of load on customer servers (OSS/RNC) by SON applications.
- Network Performance KPI monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Root cause analysis of network degradation.
- Network performance management such as Trending, analysis, monitoring,
reporting, troubleshooting.
- Bring new ideas to contribute in product enhancements.
- Interact directly with customer on deployment of new products and
involve in Acceptance test procedure.
*REQUIRED SKILLS: *
- 5-8 years experience in working in a cellular network RF & network
performance management function (Trending, analysis, monitoring, reporting,
troubleshooting), RF optimization or related.
- Experience with multi vendor - UMTS/LTE parameters, KPI counters &
associated Call scenarios.
- Experience in troubleshooting Call drops, blocks and throughput
related KPIs.
- Experienced in how to detect and solve specific network performance
problems (Eg: Throughput issues, Connection drops, blocks etc)
- Experienced in Radio Resource Management functionalities (e.g.
Handover control, Admission controls, capacity management, etc.)
- Experienced in HighCap parameters optimization involving UMTS/LTE for
venues/Events/Hotspots.
- Good Understanding of Network architecture – 3GPP Air Interface,
standards, technology and evolutions etc.
- Ability to diagnose network problems, follow procedures and process to
perform root cause analysis and find the solution.
- Problem ownership and self-sufficient skills to included excellent
documentation and communication skills.
- Flexibility to immediately change course to deliver urgent customer
specific action items.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks
within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of
duties and functions in a fast paced environment.
- Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships
with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks and
respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize
their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions
*PREFERRED SKILLS:*
- MS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or other related
Engineering. Bachelors with 5 or more years experience will also be
considered.
- Experience with RF deployment with cellular operators preferred
- Experience working successfully with customers.
- Experience & exposure to RF design (Link budget inputs, propagation
models), optimization & tools (design (Eg: PLANET) & performance).
- Knowledge of SQL/PLSQL is preferred.
- Dedicated and hardworking, with the ability to take ownership of
complex tasks.
- Team player.
- Fast learner of new technologies.
- Able to Analyze and consolidate customers’ feedback into roadmap
recommendations .
- Good communication skills.
- Services attitude.
- Willingness to travel.
- Proficient in either Russian or Spanish
