Candidates must be open to face to face interviews, no Skype! The Forms Developer will be an essential part of our growing Oracle Applications Development team. Applications and new functions being implemented need to be tailored or developed to support a wide variety of client needs, including various types of transaction processing systems, data cleansing activities, and specialized reporting and analytics, in a fast-paced environment, while simultaneously conforming to clients and industries regulations and best practices. Duties include participation in multiple SDLC aspects of implementing new systems and/or additional business units within the organization, including system design, database structure design, administration of the applications (including troubleshooting problems, maintaining, and upgrading the applications), and implementing additional functionality in an on-going continuous improvement mode. *Technical Knowledge/Skills Desired in the Following Areas:* Successful candidates will possess most or all of the following skill sets: • Solid understanding and appreciation of the entire application development life cycle, including gathering and clearly understanding business systems requirements, documentation, application development coding, structured unit and system testing, change control, and ongoing maintenance of complicated application systems. • Ability and desire to plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules and project parameters, and develop procedures to accomplish system implementations within planned budgets, resources, and timeframes. • Superior analysis and problem solving skills, including the ability to extract system and business requirements from stakeholders at all levels, identify and communicate deliverables and gaps, develop user buy-in and support, provide documentation to facilitate on-going maintenance and user training efforts, and communicate project status in a non-technical fashion. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Skill in communicating and negotiating in a team environment, yet able to work independently when required. • Functional and technical skills covering design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle forms-based applications, operating in a Windows environment. • Proficient with Structured Query Language (SQL) • Familiar with Entity Relationship Modeling • Capable of specifying appropriate modifications to the database structure as needs arise. • Ability to tune an application throughout the development process. • Ability to understand and recommend appropriate levels of security within an application. • Technically skilled in Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL*SQL, and Developer Forms/ Reports. (3+ years minimum) • Strong work ethic. • Results oriented and flexible attitude in delivering creative business focused solutions. • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently, while maintaining proper balance between projects to deliver according to overall priorities of the organization. • Ability to work with Quality assurance and/or user community to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvements, and then implement changes to produce desired results. *Education and Experience:* • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a four-year degree in computer sciences, management information systems (MIS), or related technical field, or equivalent in working experience required. • Experience in successfully completing multiple Oracle based custom applications. • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. • Prior experience with drug sampling, PDMA compliant systems, or other supporting functions to the Pharmaceutical market is preferred. • Experience with Oracle Discoverer reporting tool and Quest Toad tools desired. • Experience with Borland StarTeam helpful. • Experience with ETL processing and/or data warehousing a plus. • Authorization to work in U.S. required.
