They must have worked with AIX versions from 5.3 up to 7.1. They must have PowerHA, (HACMP), extended distance PowerHA System Mirror experience in a virtual environment. They must understand how to configure VIO servers and LPARS using VLAN tagging, NPIV, virtual scsi, etherchannel, shared processor and memory pools, dynamic LPAR, and Live Partition Mobility. They must be familiar with Power7 hardware, HMCs. Aside from the virtual environment they need to be an expert in AIX, shell scripting. They need to be able to help support the application teams and Oracle team by installing patches, software modules etc. That’s pretty standard stuff. We’re looking for someone who has a great work ethic and good soft skills.
