*RATE IS DOE/HR—MUST COME IN FOR A FACE TO FACE AFTER TELEPHONE”* *Title: Senior Business Analyst Contract Duration: 6+ months Charlestown, Massachusetts*** :*Qualifications* Basic Qualifications - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience driving requirements process with effective communication among cross functional teams including business and development. - Proven experience in utilizing various methods for eliciting requirements including: interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. - Proven experience in synthesizing information from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishing user requests from their underlying true needs. - Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required. - Experience in building and supporting SDLC process, business analysis best practices. Knowledge of Agile methodologies. - Experience with API and Web Services technologies highly desirable. - Experience with Mobile Application Development projects would be ideal. - Experience with a software company a plus and preferably with Software as a Service provider. - Experience with Document Management Platforms and/or Content Management platforms is a plus. Description: *Business Analyst* *Overview* About the Job The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business problems, establishing an optimal solution, and developing detailed specifications for that solution. The Business Analyst must work closely with the Product Managers to collaborate on product direction, as well as working closely with the user experience lead, architecture lead, and development team to build great customer solutions and platform capabilities. A solid understanding of the business analysis methodologies and full SDLC lifecycle experience is required, experience in Agile methodologies or RUP is a plus. About the Team The Business Analysis group is the effective bridge between the Business and all the development and testing teams and one of the most valuable roles to drive innovation. *Responsibilities* - Successfully bridge the Business with the Development and Testing Teams - Requirements Gathering and Documentation using a variety of techniques - Owner of the proposed solution and all Specifications. - Ensure good collaboration with all Stakeholders to help them understand Product goals and the solution - Be "the voice" of the customer and the “Go To Person” representing the products abilities, limitations and possibilities - Drive Best Practices and Processes for Requirements and Specification Documentation to improve collaboration and execution - Help to prioritize requirements to ensure that Investment and Effort are spent to get highest customer benefit.
