Title: Project manager with property and casuality posted on 2013-10-02 10:03:43 Job Description:Oversees the planning and implementation of one or more complex IT projects. Projects pertain to the delivery of timely, quality IT services and/or relate to improving business effectiveness or efficiency. Provides input into creation of project budget. Manages project scope, schedule and budget for the project. Leads a team which is brought together for the interim of the project and works with matrixed or administrative managers to ensure resources are managed appropriately and holds them to task. Functions independently with limited supervision or guidance from IT Management. Stakeholders are primarily IT or Business Managers. The candidate must have P&C experience. They’re specifically looking for a candidate that has significant working knowledge/experience with insurance policy and claim attributes. Some limited travel may be required to NYC, less than 10% of time. Job Requirements: *REQUIRED SKILLS: **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE LEVEL:* (BASIC, INTERMEDIATE, SENIOR, EXPERT)*YEARS of EXPERIENCE:* Property & Casualty Insurance experience Intermediate to Senior Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience; technical degree preferred Senior to expert Generally a minimum of 6 years related experience as a project team member of which at least two years have been in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Senior to expert Able to manage projects from inception to successful implementation. Requires strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills. Able to foster working relationships with the team and client departments. Senior to expert Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives. Specialty Casualty Insurance knowledge is a plus. Senior to expert Thorough knowledge of project management lifecycle, methodologies and support tools(e.g. MS Project, MS Powerpoint, MS Visio, MS Office, Excel, Work and Outlook). Senior to expert Thorough knowledge of Project Management concepts, practices and techniques with the ability to promote a team environment. Senior to expert Technical Leadership skills; strong oral and communication skills, strong presentation skills Senior to expert Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
