* Job Title: DB2/DBA Duration: Three months with strong extension* *Location: Downers Grove* *RESPONSIBILITIES: *• Works with the business and application teams to understand all changes • Works with the Enterprise Application Integration Test team to create or update shared models, diagrams, and documents to effectively articulate multiple views of the integration architecture including navigational flows, relationship diagrams, integration points, and traceability matrices • Follows agreed upon project-level integration solution development processes including performing quality reviews and measuring adherence to integration guidelines and procedures, to ensure consistent and coherent integration implementations • Participates in technical quality enter/exit gates for infrastructure design, integration testing, and deployment • Ensures validation of integration points at all phases of the software development life cycle by working with responsible parties to gather relevant existing artifacts (test plans, test cases, etc.) from each application team, create new artifacts, and work with the appropriate resources to execute Enterprise level tests within and across applications as required by various projects. • Follows BCBSA project standards including use of project delivery tools such as HP Quality Center and others, standard templates such as Test Plans, status reporting, and currently approved processes. *REQUIRED:* • *DB2 V9.5 or higher on AIX, LINUX, or Windows (strong DB2 on AIX);*Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in DB2 AIX within an enterprise level environment; *• 8 years of IT work* experience in DBA, DBMS design and support and relevant computing environments. • 5 years of experience in DB2 on AIX • Knowledge of HADR, DB2 pureScale, Replication, Range partitioning, Disaster Recovery with business continuity; • Database Development and Ongoing Support, (Implement physical database design, Perform routine maintenance (Backup and Recovery, REORGS, RUNSTATS, etc.), Stored Procedures, Provide Load and Performance support, Monitor database space usage, Monitor database performance bottlenecks, etc.); • Unix Scripting skills (*Perl, Shell, VBS, etc*.); • Knowledge of Data Modeling related to database logical and physical design; • *SQL Tuning experience;* • Ability to participate in 24 hour on call support rotation; • Maintain database documentation as required; • Participate in the installation of new database products, database versions and fix patches; • Implement and maintain disaster recovery procedures (e.g. HACMP failover); • Knowledge of Load Balancers; • Understanding of the systems development life cycle (SLDC) and some understanding of business processes; • Knowledge of database monitoring tools (e.g., Toad, IBM Data Studio, IBM Optim, etc.) • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services • Independently solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions • Works independently, receives minimal guidance • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members -- *With Warm Regards * Madhu Roy GenuineIT LLC *Certified Women Owned Business* Making IT Happen… [image: cid:[email protected]] Ph: 832 539 3475 Fax: 281-605-5969/(512)949-5092 [email protected] Gmail: *nandimadhu74 , madhu.genuineit* YM: madhu_recruiter [image: cid:[email protected]] According to Bill S.1618 Title III passed by the 105th US Congress, this message is not considered as "Spam" as we have included the contact information.
