Position Title: QA Engineer (intermediate)
Location: Beaverton, OR Duration: 8 months+ Phone or FTF Interview: Phone/Face-to-Face ***local candidates, or those that can conduct and in-person interview will be considered first*** *Key Responsibilities:* The role will require: · Working closely with local development/QA team(s) in a high bandwidth environment. · Working well with remote teams using your excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. · Planning, authoring, debugging, executing and reporting tests. · Prompt identification and escalation of defects; working with cross site and cross functional product teams to isolate problem; and tracking the issues to complete resolution. · Evaluation and selection of testing tools. · Test tool development as necessary. · Automation framework development or modification as necessary. *Required Experience/Skills & Education:* · Expertise in one of the following languages: C++, C#, VB, Java, Python, Perl. (Java/C++ preferred) · Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and applications. · Strong root cause analysis experience. · Schedule estimation (of tasks), and on-time delivery against those schedules. · Strong understanding of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation, and testing methodologies. · Ability to quickly learn, and become proficient with complex applications, understanding their interactions with other installed products, and how they operate within an overall system. · Network configuration and management, including a strong knowledge of networking infrastructure and technologies. · Strong written and verbal communications skills. · Candidate must be self-motivated with a strong desire to continually grow technical expertise. *Major pluses:* 1. Experience in an agile engineering environment. 2. Experience coordinating with remote teams. 3. Demonstrated expertise in a commercial or custom automation framework (E.g. Rational, QTP, Silk or other). 4. Prior QA or development work experience. 5.
